In the districts of Macaracas, Pocrí, Bocas del Toro and Tubualá, the curfew will be lifted as of Monday, September 6.
As of next Monday, September 6, the curfew measure will be removed / made more flexible in various regions of the country.
The Minister of Health, Luis Sucre, explained that this decision is made due to the low incidence registered in recent weeks in terms of the number of positive cases of COVID-19.
“Currently, Panama remains a low-incidence area in the region, thanks to a robust, scientific and balanced management of the pandemic, which is demonstrated in the decrease in positive cases and a decrease in deaths in the last two weeks. ”Sucre indicated.
Regions where the elimination / relaxation of the curfew will be applied
In the district of Chepo, in East Panama, as of Monday, September 6, the curfew will begin from 12:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. with the closing of stores at 11:00 p.m. For the rest of the region will maintain the measures already in force to date.
In the province of Los Santos, all measures will be lifted for the districts of Macaracas and Pocrí, this due to the sustained decrease in the number of cases in recent weeks.
Likewise, the measures to the district of Bocas del Toro are lifted.
The curfew is also lifted in the district of Tubualá in Guna Yala,
Sucre said.
On the other hand, the Health Minister indicated that for the provinces of Chiriquí, Veraguas, Coclé, Herrera, Panamá Oeste, Colón, Darién, the Ngäbe Buglé region, and the regions of Panamá Norte, San Miguelito and Metropolitana, the measures in force to date.
