The Ministry of Health of Panama announced the relaxation of the curfew at the national level. As of April 5, it will be from 11:00 pm to 4:00 am.
At a press conference, the head of the portfolio Luis Francisco
Sucre indicated that the measure will allow all establishments that wish to operate them until 10:00 pm
He also reported that as of next Monday the hours of entry to rivers, beaches or spas will be from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The decision to extend the curfew hours arises after the inter-institutional task table in which the ministries of Health, Commerce, and Labor and the Social Security Fund participate, evaluated the request of restaurant owners by virtue of seeking the facilities that generate a better economic recovery.
The curfew has been easing as
COVID-19 cases decline significantly. When the State of Emergency was declared, the curfew began at 5:00 pm, later economic sectors were opened and restrictive and mobility measures were made more flexible.
The authorities reiterate the mandatory use of masks, and urge constant hand washing, the use of alcohol gel and maintaining physical distance of at least 2 meters.
