With this extension, policyholders affected by the pandemic will continue to have access to the health services provided by the CSS during this month.
The Directorate of Income of the Social Security Fund ( CSS ) reported that the validity of the file corresponding to the month quota of March 2020, will be extended until July 31.
With this extension, to receive health care services, the following documents are valid: digital cards, stubs, payment vouchers or forms of state, autonomous or semi-autonomous government entities and letters of medical care cards, which are valid for 30 days from the date of issue.
This measure adopted by the CSS arises as a result of the health and economic crisis that the country is going through due to the
COVID-19 pandemic. The objective is to ensure that policyholders affected by contract suspensions can continue to receive medical care in a timely manner.
The CSS indicated the previous month that it would not make any more extensions.
Although it is expected that labor contracts will continue to be reactivated, there are thousands of Panamanians who remain with suspended contracts.
