Credentials Commission files complaints against magistrates Cedalise, Tello and former magistrate Zamorano
After reviewing the complaint, the deputy and president of the Credentials Commission, Leandro Ávila said that they found no merit for the trial of these magistrates.
The Credentials Commission of the National Assembly (AN) ordered the filing of complaints against the magistrates of the Supreme Court of Justice (CSJ) Cecilio Cedalise and Efrén Tello and former magistrate Abel Zamorano.
The deputy and president of the Credentials Commission, Leandro Ávila explained that after reviewing the folder containing the complaint against the magistrates and former magistrate of the Supreme Court, the commissioners concluded that there was no merit whatsoever for the trial, for which their archive.
Ávila said that the complaint was related to a decision made by lower courts regarding compensation and that it was appealed, for which it was passed to the CSJ.
“The complainants say that they acted incorrectly, illegally, unconstitutionally, but when they enter the fund they realize that they are referring to the judges' rulings, we deputies cannot review rulings, I like it or I don't like it. respect it ... we have said in the Commission that if there is merit in the complaint that is presented, we will do the same, but if there is not, we will not do it," said deputy Ávila.
