This Monday, April 5, circuit 8-6, district of San Miguelito, will resume the vaccination process against COVID-19.
During the day, the second dose of
vaccine will be applied to those over 60 years of age and people with disabilities who reside in the area, and the first to educators who work in educational centers located in this district.
Teachers who work in circuits 8-10 (Panama East) and 8-1 (Arraiján), will also receive the first dose of
vaccine this Monday.
Older adults are recommended to go for breakfast or lunch depending on the time of their appointment, wear comfortable clothing, stay hydrated and have taken their medications.
Educators were immunized with the intention of starting classes in person.
From January 20 to March 30 of this 2021, Panama has received about 457,330 doses of the 450 thousand agreed with
Pfizer for the first quarter of this year.
Panama has firm agreements with
Pfizer,
AstraZeneca and with the
Covax mechanism for the acquisition of
vaccine against
COVID-19, while carrying out the procedures with Russia; Doses from both mechanisms and from different pharmaceutical companies are expected to arrive in April.
