The report of Wednesday, May 6 by the Ministry of Health (Minsa) on the situation of the coronavirus in Panama, showed that deaths increased to 218, with 8 new deaths, and the accumulated cases reached a total of 7,731.
In the last 24 hours, 208 new cases of people with
coronavirus have been registered.
Lourdes Moreno, head of epidemiology at the
Minsa, assured that 38,014 tests have been performed so far, of which 29,128 (77%) have been negative and 8,886 have been positive (23%).
So far there are 358 people hospitalized in the country for
COVID-19; 270 in the ward and 88 in intensive care units; while in home isolation 2,678 people and 996 are kept in hospital hotels.
Those recovered by laboratory reached 859, with 36 new cases and those recovered clinically rose to 3,618.
