Covid-19 forces to redistribute spaces in the Arnulfo Arias Madrid hospital complex
There is a need to redistribute the spaces available to the hospitals that make up the Arnulfo Arias Madrid Hospital Complex of the Social Security Fund (CSS) in order to serve patients who require hospitalization in Intensive Care wards, as well as those who don't need this type of service, the new director of this hospital center, Rolando Binns Halman, raised this Sunday, July 12.
Binns Halman's approach was reflected during the meeting he held with the CSS general director, Enrique Lau Cortés, in order to propose new strategies to meet the high demand of patients infected with the new SARS-CoV-02 coronavirus that in last weeks has this third-level focus.
In fact, with the transfer of some rooms to the Irma hospital in Lourdes Tzanetatos, in the township of December 24, the hospital has the capacity to receive about 30 more Covid-19 patients.
The new medical director of the hospital complex made a final call to the general population to cooperate with the health authorities by staying home and to reinforce preventive measures to reduce the spread of respiratory virus.
And it is that since March 9, when the first case was detected in the country, the health authorities are asking for the collaboration of the population as one of the most effective ways to counter the spread of the disease.
To do this, they are invited to take simple measures such as staying at home if they do not have any urgency to go out on the streets, wash their hands constantly, use masks and keep a healthy distance.
