Contagions increase to 60 in the La Pintada after a crowded funeral
In the Piedras Gordas of La Pintada sector, Coclé province, the Ministry of Health (Minsa) applied swabs to about 120 people after registering more than 60 COVID-19 infections.
As anticipated, these infections could have been generated after a mass funeral was carried out, which was even attended by people arriving on busses from other sectors.
The director of the Coclé Health Region, Mario Lozado, indicated that they have carried out the necessary tests and traceability to mitigate other infections in this sector. They also coordinate with the Panama Solidario program to deliver food to the people who were sent to confinement.
