Panama reports 223 new COVID-19 cases and 4 deaths in 24 hours

The number of hospitalized is 223, of which 179 are in the ward and 44 in intensive care.
This Saturday, October 9, 223 new cases of COVID-19 were registered in Panama, for a cumulative total of 468,963 infections, according to the epidemiological report of the Ministry of Health (Minsa).

In the last 24 hours, 4 deaths were registered, to raise the total number of deaths to 7,264, this indicates that the lethality of this virus remains at 1.5%.

On the other hand, 6,353 tests were applied and the percentage of positivity is 3.5%.

The number of active cases is 2,688, of which there are 2,465 in home isolation; 2,360 at home and 105 in hotels.
