Chilibre water treatment plant restarted operations after electrical maintenance
Maintenance work is carried out on a switch in the Chilibre electrical substation that provides electrical service to the water treatment plant.
The Federico Guardia Conte water treatment plant located in Chilibre restarted operations after preventive electrical maintenance work that was carried out this Sunday, September 19, reported the Institute of National Aqueducts and Sewers ( Idaan ).
The operations of the Chilibre water treatment plant were suspended for approximately four hours.
The potable water supply will be progressively restored in sectors of the capital and San Miguelito, the Idaan said.
The Idaan detailed that maintenance work was carried out on the 115 thousand volt switch of the Chilibre electrical substation that provides electrical service to the Federico Guardia Conte water treatment plant, the Idaan explained.
Due to these works, the capital district, the high points of the San Miguelito district, North Panama from Las Cumbres to Buena Vista and all the remote sectors of the network that comprise East Panama from Pedregal to Siesta de Tocumen were left without potable water.
