The CCIAP warned that in order to promote Panama as an investment and tourism destination, it is necessary that it present itself as a safe and receptive place.
The Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture of Panama (
CCIAP) asked the Ministry of Health (
Minsa) to align its actions with the Ministry of Commerce and Industries (MICI) and the Tourism Authority.
The union indicated that it works with the MICI and the Agency for the Attraction of Investments and Promotion of Exports of Panama (ProPanamá), to present the competitive advantages and attractiveness of the country as a destination for investment and tourism.
However, he warned that to achieve this objective it is necessary for Panama to present itself as a safe and receptive place from all its entry points, with an open, sustained and transparent economy.
"That, with deeds not words, we build the image of a destination for investments that, in addition to implementing and respecting biosafety measures, makes steady progress in the release of mobility restriction measures and vaccination to anyone who wants and can get vaccinated,” says the
CCIAP in its Sunday statement.
As part of the work carried out by the
CCIAP in conjunction with the MICI, a delegation made up of more than 50 Panamanian businessmen traveled to Peru to promote business opportunities and commercial exchange.
Entrepreneurs from Panama and Peru held business meetings in the commerce, tourism, real estate, export and logistics sectors.
The
CCIAP announced that this week a new delegation of businessmen is leaving for the United States, who will participate in the Panama Texas Business Summit, which favors commercial exchange between both nations.
