Cabinet approves extending until December the free bandwidth for educational plans

This is so that students stay connected to the education projects, formats and platforms that the Government endorsed through Meduca.
The Cabinet Council approved extending the free use of frequency bands to mobile companies until December 31, so that the educational programs and plans established by the Ministry of Education ( Meduca ) can be strengthened.

Following this measure, mobile companies will be able to use, at no cost, the segments of frequency bands previously authorized by the Public Services Authority (Asep).

This in order for students to stay connected to the special education projects, formats and platforms endorsed by the National Government through Meduca.

Meduca indicated that schools that enter the authorization process to implement the International Baccalaureate Program will receive support.

The authorization of the Council of Ministers, which extends the use of the UWF band by mobile operators for six months, is as of July 1, is contained in Cabinet Resolution No. 73 of June 23, 2021 and was published in Official Gazette No. 29318-A , on Monday, July 28, 2021.
