The Minsa reported that people with a vaccination appointment scheduled for this Monday and Tuesday will be able to attend with proof of their appointment at the reopening.
The auto-rapid vaccination against
COVID-19 , located in the provinces of Colón and Panama Oeste, will be closed until next Wednesday, June 23 due to the heavy rains that are registered at the national level.
These are the vaccination posts at the Enrique Jiménez Airport in the province of Colón and the fast car located on the grounds of the La Chorrera Fair, in the province of Panamá Oeste.
In that sense, the Ministry of Health (
Minsa) of Panama indicated that the appointments scheduled for this Monday and Tuesday will be rescheduled.
Vaccination 20-30 is part of the strategy to combat
COVID-19 and streamline the immunization process, in order to mitigate deaths and serious hospitalizations due to
coronavirus.
In these self-vaccinations, dozens of people are vaccinated daily with the
COVID-19
vaccine of the
AstraZeneca formula, which in Panama is voluntary for men and women over 30 years of age.
To date, Panama has immunized more than 1 million 350 thousand people, of which 1,111,610 have been vaccinated with
Pfizer and 247,123 with the AstraZenca
vaccine.
The
Minsa reiterates to the population to take due precautions in the rainy season and that its
vaccine will continue to be available.
