Authorities seize 1,500 drug packages in the Pacific port
The National Aeronaval Service (Senan) and the Public Ministry of Panama reported this afternoon on the seizure of 1,500 drug packages made inside a container, located in a Pacific port.
In the press conference, held this Sunday, it was indicated that through tasks of control of illicit maritime and port traffic , through operational units, the location and securing of the container in the Port PSA, Rodman, came from Caldera in Costa Rica It had transit through Panama, transshipment in Belgium and its final destination was India.
The Senan during 2021 to date indicated that through the execution of 19 operations, it has achieved the total confiscation of 8,617 packages of illicit substances; 7,345 packages on the Pacific coast, and 1,272 packages on the Caribbean coast.
In addition, 25 individuals have been apprehended, 8 boats, 6 boats, 2 artisan boats have been detained, 3 weapons have been seized (2 9 mm caliber pistols, and 1 0.410 caliber shotgun), more than 106 seized ammunition of different calibers and the seizure of $30,259.
