According to the Minsa, these vaccination days, aimed at chronic patients over 16 years of age, will take place on Thursdays of each week.
The vaccination against
COVID-19 people with chronic diseases start from next Thursday July 8 and will continue on Thursdays of each week (15, 22, July 22 and so on in August).
This was announced by Itzel de Hewitt, head of the Expanded Immunization program of the Ministry of Health (
Minsa) of Panama.
To develop these days, aimed at chronic patients over 16 years of age, 21 vaccination centers were set up nationwide. Doses will also be applied at regular vaccination posts.
They ask this population to register in Panama Solidario and verify the dates and times of their appointments.
The new vaccination centers enabled in the different health regions are the following:
Herrera: Cecilio Castillero Hospital.
Los Santos: Polyclinic Dr. Miguel Cárdenas Barahona.
Ngäbe-Buglé region: To be defined.
Panama Metro: Irma L. Tzanetatos Hospital and Vasco Núñez de Balboa Convention Center.
East Panama: Las Margaritas Health Center.
San Miguelito: Manuel María Valdés Polyclinic.
West Panama: Magaly Ruíz Health Center and Dr. Blas Gómez Chetros Polyclinic.
North Panama: Alcalde Díaz Health Center and Chilibre Health Center.
Bocas del Toro: Changuinola Hospital
Chiriquí: Obaldia Hospital, Boquete Polyclinic and Puerto Armuelles Hospital.
Coclé: Aquilino Tejeira Hospital and Rafael Estévez Hospital.
Colón: Manuel Amador Guerrero Hospital, Sabanitas Polyclinic and Juan B. Núñez Policenter.
Darién: To be defined.
Veraguas: Soná Hospital and Dr. Luis “Chicho” Fábrega Hospital
According to the
Minsa, a total of 424,083 people with chronic diseases had been vaccinated against
COVID-19 as of June 29, according to the statistics.
