For next Friday, May 21, the National Aqueducts and Sewers Institute (Idaan) reported that the company Acciona will carry out lifting maneuvers for the metal truss for the overpass that is part of the project "Study, Design, Construction, Operation and Maintenance of the Sabanitas II water treatment plant", which will affect traffic on the Madden Gatún Highway.

The entity assured that the work will be carried out on Friday, May 21, from 8:00 p.m. to Saturday, May 22 at 5:00 p.m. and Saturday, May 22 from 9:00 pm to Sunday 23 May at 7:00 pm.

In addition, the Idaan indicates that during the development of this day the supply of drinking water will not be affected at the points supplied by the Antonio Yépez de León water treatment plant.

The Madden Gatún - CMC Highway will be closed at the following entrances:

- Exit and enter Quebrada López: detour from Sabanitas to Colón.
- Roundabout of 4 Altos: road that goes from Colón to Panama.

Idaan recommends that users take precautions when performing these actions.
