Esta medida, resaltó la AMP, busca evitar incidentes como naufragios, accidentes o desaparecidos

AMP extends sail suspension for an additional 24 hours

The Panama Maritime Authority (AMP) extended the suspension of sailing for 24 hours, because strong waves and winds are still maintained on both coasts of the country.
The first departure suspension was issued this November 3, effective until 10:00 am today, however the AMP warned that it could be extended.

This measure is aimed at smaller vessels, semi-industrial fishing vessels, central motor cabotage and pleasure yachts.

Meanwhile, companies dedicated to providing auxiliary maritime services to ships that are in jurisdictional waters, must take the necessary precautions.

The AMP stressed that the suspension of departure seeks to avoid incidents such as shipwrecks, accidents or missing persons.
