All work contracts suspended due to the
COVID-19 pandemic must be reactivated from November 1, 2021, as reiterated this Monday by Carlos Ayala, Advisor to the Ministry of Labor and Labor Development (Mitradel).
“As of November 1 of this year, all workers who had contract suspension must be reinstated or reactivated in their job, that is, the 284 thousand workers who were suspended last year on November 1 of this year must be all reactivated," said Ayala.
It was previously reported that if by this date the companies have not reactivated their employment contracts , the Mitradel will do so informally.
On the other hand, Ayala added that of the total number of workers who have been reactivated to date, a percentage between 3 and 6% have been laid off.
