The National Authority for Government Innovation (AIG) enabled the digital vaccination meter on Friday, January 22, in the vaccines section of the Panama Solidario portal.
Here, citizens will have access in real time to information such as the number of people vaccinated against
covid-19 by provinces, districts, health regions and vaccination centers.
Luis Oliva, administrator of the AIG, explained that this information will be constantly updated as the vaccination process develops.
We are going to make cuts, but this vaccinometer is in real time, always online as the vaccination is updated, said Oliva.
According to the information available on this portal, 3,500 people have been vaccinated so far, of which more than 2,200 are women and 1,300 men. The goal is vaccinations for 6,400 people.
The first 12,840 doses of the
Pfizer and
BioNTech vaccine against
covid-19 arrived in the country at dawn this Wednesday, January 20, at Tocumen International Airport, on a DHL company plane.
The first phase of vaccination includes health workers, members of essential services, adults over 60 years of age, and people over 16 with disabilities.
