AIG enabled appointments for this week's sweeping vaccination

The AIG reported that from 3:00 pm on Monday residents of circuits where vaccination by sweeping will be done this week will be able to verify their appointment.

This Wednesday, July 28, the vaccination day against covid-19 begins with the Pfizer formula, by sweeping since 16 years, in circuits 8-6 (San Miguelito), 8-1 (Arraiján), 9-3 (province of Veraguas), and 5-1 and 5-2 (Darién province).

Luis Oliva, administrator of the National Authority for Government Innovation of Panama (AIG), reported that starting at 3:00 pm on Monday, people residing in these circuits will be able to verify their appointment.

"At the moment we are generating all the vaccination appointments that begin on Wednesday and should be online at 3:00 pm today," said the administrator of the AIG.

Oliva indicated that more than 500 thousand appointments have been generated, a new record. Last week 400 thousand appointments were generated for vaccination per sweep.

Appointments will also be available for residents of circuits 2-2, 2-4, 4-3, and 4-5, said Oliva.

Vaccination by sweeping in the province of Bocas del Toro was postponed due to the climatic conditions that are registered in this area of ​​the country, until the situation stabilizes.

The AIG administrator explained that the appointments allow the team to organize the vaccination logistics and send the number of doses of the vaccine to each of the areas.

According to the Expanded Immunization Program (PAI) in Panama, 2,252,051 doses of the vaccine against covid-19 have been applied from January to date.
