Aprehenden a una tercera mujer por su supuesta vinculación en el caso de irregularidades en albergues

A third woman is apprehended for her alleged involvement in the shelter scandal

The Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office reported, this Saturday, March 6, that it apprehended a woman for her alleged involvement in the case of irregularities detected in shelters in the country.
The action took place in the capital city and was carried out in coordination with the National Police.

This person is under investigation for the alleged commission of the crime of embezzlement; he was allegedly in charge of running a shelter.

This is the third woman who is apprehended by the Public Ministry, as part of the investigations for anomalies in these children's centers.

The first apprehensions took place last Thursday in the province of Panamá Oeste. Yesterday, Friday, in two different hearings, both women were ordered provisional detention.

In recent weeks, protests have been held outside the National Secretariat for Children, Adolescents and the Family (Senniaf) to demand justice for the abuses that occurred in at least 14 shelters, documented in an extensive report by the Women's Commission, the Childhood and the Family of the National Assembly.
