A suspect captured for allegedly linked to the shooting in El Chorrillo

In this shooting on September 10, in which approximately 20 shots were fired, one person was killed and another was injured.
After a search carried out by the Homicide and Femicide Section of the Metropolitan Prosecutor's Office in conjunction with the National Police of Panama, alias "Muñequín" was captured, who is allegedly linked to a shooting registered on 23rd street of El Chorrillo, which left one dead and one wounded.

The incident occurred after 12:00 noon on Friday, September 10, when from another vehicle, a sedan type, they fired about 20 shots at the car in which the victim and his companion were traveling.

The bullets were embedded in the body of the car, which also showed blood stains.

Both people were transferred to the Santo Tomás Hospital, where the death of alias "Manuelito" was ruled.

In recent weeks, killings and shootings have been more frequent, during the day and in public places, exposing innocent people. Despite this, the Minister of Public Security of Panama, Juan Pino, says that the country is not unsafe and that these shootings are settling scores between criminal gangs.

Civil society demands greater intervention and expresses its fear of taking to the streets in the face of the wave of homicides.
