The Ministry of Health (Minsa) announced on Saturday, June 13, that there are 848 new cases of the virus in 24 hours. According to the official report, the coronavirus has left a total of 429 dead in the country.
According to the official data, the total number of infected with the virus in the country is now 20,059, while 13,759 patients have recovered from the disease.
A total of eight new deaths were recorded over 24 hours. Two of the new death cases were women; at age 4 and 73. The 4-year-old girl died in a hospital in Chiriqui. Six of the recent death cases were men at age between 44 and 90.
There are currently 5,871 active cases.
Testing
2,695 new tests were conducted in since the last report. The number of total tests is now 89,736, of which 67,027 were negative.
Testing rate is reported to cover 2,097 per 100,000 population.
Treatment
4,607 patients are in home isolation and 755 are in so-called hospital hotels.
The Ministry of Health also reported that 412 are in the hospital ward and 97 in the intensive care units.
