The target population established by the Ministry of Health of Panama for vaccination against COVID-19 is 3,037,318 people.
When starting the vaccination plan against
COVID-19 in Panama, the country set a goal to vaccinate 70% of the total population, or 3,037,318 people.
The Panama
Vaccine Meter reported this Sunday that 50% of that target population had received at least one dose of the
COVID-19
vaccine, in this case from
Pfizer or
AstraZeneca, which are those authorized by the Ministry of Health (
Minsa).
According to the
Minsa, from January 20, when the vaccination against
COVID-19 began in the country, to date 2,252,051 doses have been applied, of which 1.5 million correspond to first doses, and more than 700 thousand to second doses.
