The Ministry of Health (Minsa) reported that in the last 24 hours in Panama a total of 357 new infections of COVID-19 have been registered, with which the number of accumulated cases in the country has increased by 344,834, for this Sunday 7 of March.
The number of deaths due to the new
coronavirus in the country rose to 5,923 after 11 new deaths were recorded, in addition to 2 deaths from previous dates, maintaining a case fatality rate at 1.7%.
The report adds that 7,149 cases remain active, of which 6,101 remain in isolation at home and 248 are in hospital hotels.

Minsa adds that a total of 682 patients remain hospitalized in the ward and 118 are in intensive care units.
As of this Sunday, it is reported that approximately 331,762 people have recovered.
He adds that in the last hours 4,905 new tests have been carried out to detect
COVID-19 and the positivity rate is 7.2%.
