A total of 334 people were detained in the last 24 hours in the country for failing to comply with the curfew established amid the pandemic of the new coronavirus.
The National Police reported that out of the total, 282 are men and 43 women. The rest of the detainees were minors.
In turn, at the Health control points, the drivers of 116 vehicles were returned, for failing to comply with the provisions of Executive Decree No. 499. This decree declares epidemic areas subject to sanitary control.
Meanwhile, as of this weekend, a total quarantine comes into effect in the provinces of Bocas del Toro, Colón and Chiriquí, due to the increase in cases of
Covid-19.
As in the provinces of Panamá and Panamá Oeste, the curfew will begin at 7:00 pm, this Friday, July 24, until 5:00 am, on Monday, July 27.
