The Panavac team in Panama Oeste was reported ready to start the vaccination day against covid-19 in circuits 8-2, 8-3 and 8-5 on April 26.
Kevin Cedeño, Health Director of Panama Oeste explained that this vaccination day against covid-19 will be divided into two stages: from April 26 to 29 it will take place in circuits 8-2 and 8-3 that include Capira, Chame, and San Carlos, while from April 29 to May 2 it will take place on the 8-5 circuit corresponding to La Chorrera.
Cedeño said that about 31,000 people are expected to be vaccinated, of which about 4,600 are teachers who work in these areas.
He indicated that in hard-to-reach areas on circuits 8-2 and 8-3, the sweep strategy will be applied, that is, people from the age of 16 will be vaccinated.
For his part, Carlos Ahumada, vaccination coordinator in West Panama explained that in circuits 8-2 and 8-3 some 20 schools will be enabled for vaccination against covid-19, while in circuit 8-5 they will be enabled about 30 schools.
