The epidemiological report of the Ministry of Health of Panama (Minsa) revealed on July 25 that in the last 24 hours in the country there have been 25 deaths from COVID-19, which increases the deaths to 1,275.
In addition, the number of infections rose to 58,864 with the new
coronavirus, after the 2,614 new tests carried out diagnosed 871 new cases.
So far Panama has carried out 203,600 tests.
Currently there are 22,110 people in isolation at home and 652 are staying in hospital hotels.
Under hospitalization, the health system maintains 1,247 patients in wards and 152 are under intensive care.
The contagions by age are reports a higher percentage among people ranging from 20 to 39 years old with 25,478 cases; followed by 18, 618 infections by people from 40 to 59 years old; while those of 20 years or less present 7,111 cases; those aged 60 to 79 have 6,422 infections and those over 80 years register 1,235 cases.
Regarding the mortality of the
coronavirus by age, it is more concentrated in people aged 60 to 79 years, presenting 598 deaths, while those over 80 years of age register 311 deaths; those from 40 to 59 years old have 282 deaths, between the ages of 20 to 39 years there have been 70 deaths and in those under 20 years of age, 14 people have died.
