According to the Ombudsman's Office, of this total, 337 correspond to boys and girls who enter Panamanian territory, through different routes that connect with the communities of Bajo Chiquito, Lajas Blancas, San Vicente, Metetí and Canaan located in the Darien province.
Maribel Peña, regional director of the Defensoría said that the transit of migrants through these routes increases during the summer season in Panama.

The communities with the highest income of people of different nationals are Bajo Chiquito with 1,641, in Lajas Blancas 135 and San Vicente 313 immigrants.
