The Budget Commission of the National Assembly (AN) approved to the Ministry of Health (Minsa), other transfers of departure for $18,601,388.00 to cover the payment to temporary administrative personnel of the institution among other commitments of the entity.
According to the Minister of Health, Luis Francisco
Sucre, of this item, $2.5 million will be destined for the Santo Tomás Hospital (HST).
Another percentage of the money includes the purchase of supplies, rapid tests, serological tests, PCR and personal protective equipment.
On August 31, the Commission approved transfers of more than $8 million to
Minsa to cover the payment of medical personnel hired to attend the
COVID-19 pandemic until December.
This, after the health personnel hired to attend the pandemic reported that they were owed the payment of up to six fortnights.
