This Monday the vaccination process was resumed in circuit 8-6 with the application of the second doses of the vaccine against covid-19 to people over 60 years of age and people with disabilities.
The day also includes some 2,553 teachers who work in this district.
Ríos explained that of this total, 40 pregnant women were vaccinated, 1,200 teachers received their first dose, and more than 16,000 older adults received their second dose.
The regional director of Health of San Miguelito said that the number of people scheduled to vaccinate this Monday was 11,000.
That is why many images of lines were seen in schools, however the process continued its course and the large number of adults who attended yesterday were vaccinated, said Ríos.
He asked older adults to verify themselves before going to the vaccination centers, to avoid crowds.
For this day, about 19 vaccination centers are enabled.
Pregnant women and teachers who work in this circuit must register on the page vacunas.panamasolidario.gob.pa.
Pregnant women must present a certification from their doctor authorizing the vaccination.
According to the Ministry of Health (Minsa), some 51,478 doses of Pfizer's covid-19 vaccine will be applied in the San Miguelito district.
