From this Wednesday, August 4 to Sunday, August 8, there will be a vaccination day by sweeping in North Panama. It is expected to inoculate against COVID-19 to about 98 thousand people in this area.
The sweeps are vaccination days that are carried out in a specific place, and this time it is aimed at people 16 years of age and older. Sara Castañeda, regional director of Health of Panama Norte, asked the population to register to facilitate the process.
Some 14 vaccination centers have been set up in this area, which includes the townships of Alcalde Díaz, Chilibre, Las Cumbres, Caimitillo and Ernesto Córdoba Campos.
To date, 2.6 million doses have been applied, of which 2.1 are from the pharmaceutical company Pfizer
and 504 thousand from AstraZeneca

The entire young population without chronic diseases or disabilities is expected to be immunized by the third quarter of the year, according to health authorities.
